“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture has carried out cleaning works on Vaziani main canal in Gardabani municipality. Within the works, a 1-kilometer section has been cleaned from vegetation cover and sediment, resulting in the increase of discharge capacity of the canal.

As a result of the works carried out, irrigation water supply will improve on 80 ha of agricultural land area. This will contribute to the effective irrigation of local farmers’ and residents’ land plots and create better conditions for agricultural production.

The works ongoing and planned by the company ensure the reduction of water losses, the proper operation of irrigation schemes and the stable supply of irrigation water to the farmers.
