Within rehabilitation and modernization works of the irrigation infrastructure, “Georgian Amelioration” ltd is arranging the irrigation scheme in the village of Kumisi.

The deteriorated   infrastructure has fully been changed on Kumisi distribution canal. The old and damaged steel pipe has been replaced with a new one.

Renovation of the pipeline will significantly reduce water losses, ensure unhindered operation of the scheme and considerably improve water supply on 150 ha of agricultural land.

The arrangement of the irrigation scheme will enable local farmers to avoid losses caused by drought and increase crop productivity.

“Georgian Amelioration” ltd continues to carry out similar-type rehabilitation works in other regions of the country in order to maximize the use of agricultural land potential.
