Mameli Kobalia- Commercial Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd, together with the company representatives held a working meeting with farmers, local authorities and population in Gori municipality.

The discussion focused on the existing irrigation service subsidy scheme and the importance of timely agreement on water use schedules. It was highlighted that concluding contracts with the company ensures more efficient management of water resources, equitable water distribution and stable, guaranteed irrigation for agricultural lands.

Furthermore, the participants addressed key challenges related to the irrigation season and explored practical solutions, including optimization of water distribution and opportunities to improve service delivery.

According to Mameli Kobalia, direct and systematic communication with farmers prior to the start of the irrigation season is particularly important, as it enables the company to identify needs in a timely manner and respond effectively.

The meeting was held in an interactive regime, enabling the farmers to ask questions about the operation of the irrigation scheme and receive comprehensive information about both ongoing and planned projects.
