An informational meeting with local farmers was held in Kaspi Municipality, at which Mameli Kobalia-Commercial Director of “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd introduced the new irrigation service tariff and the state subsidy scheme designed to support farmers.

The meeting was conducted in an interactive regime, enabling farmers to receive detailed information about practical impact of the new tariff, as well as future plans for the development of the amelioration scheme and improvements in service quality. The participants also received answers to their questions on important issues, including efficient use of irrigation water and planning of seasonal agricultural activities.

“Georgian Amelioration” Ltd has been systematically holding similar informational meetings across various municipalities of the country for more than a month. The aim of these meetings is to provide water users with comprehensive information, improve service standards and facilitate timely signing of service contracts.
