“Georgian Amelioration” LTD is implementing alignment works of amelioration infrastructure in Kareli municipality. Regular cleaning of canals is especially important during the approaching of the season, because the accumulation of sediment reduces water discharge capacity. Currently, cleaning works are underway on a 7-kilometer stretch of the Saltvisi irrigation system, on the territory of the village Pkhvenisi. As a result of the works, the discharge capacity of the canal and water supply to 300 hectares of agricultural land area will be significantly improved. The renovated infrastructure will serve farmers living both, on Pkhvenisi and Shindisi territories.
