Meeting in the Administration of Kvemo Kartli Governor
A working meeting of Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Georgia -Gocha Tsopurashvili and General Director of United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia –Levan Dvali has been held with the Governor of Kvemo Kartli Region-Paata Khizanishvili and representatives of local authorities, in the administration of the Governor /State Trustee of Kvemo Kartli.
At the meeting, Levan Dvali-General Director of United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia and Vakhtang Gardapkhadze – Kvemo Kartli Regional Director of the Company made a large presentation on the condition of amelioration infrastructure in the region, current and scheduled projects and future development strategy. Company representatives and Heads of Kvemo Kartli Municipality Governance discussed ongoing issues related to irrigation schemes in the region.
As Deputy Minister of Agriculture –Gocha Tsopurashvili said: “Tight co-operation and coordination of work processes with the regional authority is the priority of the Ministry”.
With regard to on-going and scheduled works for water supply of agricultural land areas of Kvemo Kartli Region, Levan Dvali –General Director of the Company, mentioned that the Company tightly co-operates with the local authority to schedule further rehabilitation projects of irrigation and drainage schemes, taking into consideration agricultural needs of the region.
As of today, rehabilitation works are being implemented on 10 items of amelioration infrastructure, in the region. After implementation of aforementioned transition projects, area of water supplied agricultural land will grow up to 17 890 ha, while supply of water will be improved on 22 520 ha of land area.
United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia implements rehabilitation works on 37 items of amelioration infrastructure, throughout Georgia.
