Working meeting, with regard to rehabilitation of Zeda Ru irrigation scheme was held in Gori municipality
Ministry of Agriculture and United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia schedule rehabilitation of Zeda Ru irrigation scheme in Kvemo Kartli region.
With regard to project implementation, a working meeting was held in Gori municipality. Problems that exist on irrigation schemes, ways of solution and Environment Management Plan were discussed at the meeting. The Company representative presented to the audience detailed information on the aforementioned project, its significance and potential positive outcomes.
The project envisages arrangement and rehabilitation of hydro-technical structures on main canal, Arashenda branch, secondary and tertiary distribution canals of Zeda Ru irrigation scheme, in Qareli municipality. Representatives of United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia, Ministry of Agriculture, local self-governing institutions, farmers and local population attended the meeting.
Rehabilitation of Zeda Ru irrigation scheme will be implemented within the framework of the World Bank “Irrigation and Land Market Development Project”.
