Rehabilitation of pumping stations of Chaladidi drainage scheme
Ministry of Agriculture and United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia implement rehabilitation of N1 and N2 pumping stations of Chaladidi drainage scheme, on Rioni-Khobi interfluvial massif, in Samegrelo.
The project envisages rehabilitation of building of pumping station and electric-mechanical part of the drainage scheme.
As a result of rehabilitation, drained area of two villages (Chaladidi and Patara Poti) will reach 1477ha, thereby benefitting 700 households.
Rehabilitation works have been initiated in the beginning of 2015 and will be completed this year. Total cost of the project amounts to GEL 1 550 000.
Besides rehabilitation of N1 and N2 pumping stations of Chaladidi drainage scheme, United Amelioration Systems Company of Georgia implements another 2 projects in Samegrelo, namely: rehabilitation of main linking pipe, secondary and tertiary water collectors, on-farm drainage canals on Khobi-Utora massif (village Torsa -Khamiskuri) and Rehabilitation of drainage schemes of “Anjeli” masiff, in Abasha municipality.
As of today, rehabilitation of irrigation and drainage schemes is underway on 37 items, all over the country.
