Rehabilitation of pumping stations is underway in Shida Kartli
Rehabilitation of pumping stations on irrigation schemes will be completed by June, in Kaspi municipality and additional 1 300 ha of agricultural area will be water covered. The works, initiated in 2014, are being carried out by Ministry of Agriculture and “Georgian Amelioration”.
Within the framework of rehabilitation, electric supply for pumping stations has been restored; new pumping aggregates and pumps have been installed. The rehabilitation project, with total cost of GEL 2 000 000 , will benefit about 2000 households of 5 villages of Kaspi municipality.
Furthermore, “Georgian Amelioration” carry out rehabilitation works on 6 other items of amelioration schemes of the region.
