Government of China granted amelioration equipment to Georgia
Government of the People’s Republic of China transferred 245 units of modern special equipment (excavators, loaders, bulldozers, concrete stations and mixers, pickups, tractors) and electric-mechanical devices , with total cost of USD 10 764 000, to “Georgian Amelioration “ Ltd under Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, within framework of the grant. Irakli Garibashvili –Prime Minister of Georgia, Otar Danelia –Minister of Agriculture, Yue Bin – Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Georgia and Levan Dvali-Director General of “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd attended the ceremony.
The aforementioned equipment is the second part of the grant, received from the People’s Republic of China. The first tranche (38 units) was transferred to Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia in June, 2013.
The special equipment will enable “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd to efficiently implement rehabilitation works on irrigation canals and facilitate to the development of amelioration infrastructure in Georgia.
