Rehabilitation of Lezhbadini pumping station is being completed
For increasing water covered areas, Ministry of Agriculture and “Georgian Amelioration” implement rehabilitation of Lezhbadini pumping station, on the territory of Marneuli municipality, in Kvemo Kartli region.
Within the framework of the project, right and left main canals have been restored, linking pipe, supplying water to the pumping station has been aligned, reinforced-concrete canalets have been laid, and old pumping aggregates have been replaced with new ones.
After rehabilitation of Lezhbadini pumping station, total of 1400 ha of agricultural land area of the villages Lezhbadini and II Kesalo will be water covered, thereby benefitting about 1600 households.
The works, with total cost of GEL 2 070 000, were initiated in October, 2014 and will be completed in May, 2015.
“Georgian Amelioration” Ltd carry out rehabilitation arrangements on 9 other items in Kvemo Kartli region, besides Lezhbadini pumping station.
