Rehabilitation of Jebiri pumping station
Additional 100 ha of agricultural land area will be water covered in Gori municipality, Shida Kartli region. For this purpose the Ministry of Agriculture and “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd carry out rehabilitation-restoration works of Jebiri pumping station, on the territory of Purna and Jebiri pumping stations in the village Ateni.
Within the framework of the project, a stationary pumping station will be built, two pressure pipelines with total length of 4 800 m will be laid, including steel and plastic pipes; outlet wells and hydrants will be arranged and 2 pumping aggregates will be installed.
Current works, that have been initiated in March, 2015 will be completed in June. As a result 100 ha of agricultural land area of three villages of Gori municipality will be irrigated, thereby benefitting about 3400 households.
Total cost of the project amounts to GEL 668 888.
Georgian Amelioration carry out rehabilitation works on 4 items of Shida Kartli region in parallel with the irrigation season.
