Rehabilitation of Tashiskari irrigation scheme
Supply of irrigation water will be improved on 500 ha of agricultural land area in Kareli municipality.
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia is implementing rehabilitation project of Tashiskari irrigation scheme.
Restoration works are carried out directly on Gomi-Agara section, on the distribution canal d-1-4.
The scheme will be fully rehabilitated. Within the works new reinforced-concrete parabolic section chutes were installed, inverted siphon was cleaned.
Besides, 3 water division boxes and 15 outlet wells are arranged.
The villages Mokhisi, Agara, Kvenatkotsa and Mokhisi IDP settlement will benefit by the rehabilitated irrigation scheme.
The rehabilitation works will be completed in spring of the current year.
