Rehabilitation of drainage scheme in Samegrelo
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Agriculture is rehabilitating drainage scheme of the village Pirveli Maisi, in khobi municipality.
Within the project 13 km long drainage canal will be rehabilitated; water collecting canals will be cleaned from sediment; culverts will be arranged.
After the completion of rehabilitation works, drainage service will be restored on 223 ha of agricultural land area of the village Pirveli Maisi;
Archil Bukia-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd has inspected the ongoing rehabilitation works together with the representatives of the local authority.
The project with total amount of GEL 100 000 will be completed the current year.
Since 2012 up to date, total of 26 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure have been implemented in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. Up to 500 km drainage canal has been cleaned and arranged. Consequently, drained agricultural land area has increased up to 19 000 ha.
