Rehabilitation of Lagodekhi Irrigation System
“Georgian Amelioration” LTD, the state owned company under the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia is rehabilitating the main canal of Lagodekhi irrigation system.
Within the framework of the project 500 meter section of main canal will be lined with reinforced concrete. After completion of the ongoing rehabilitation works, water supply regime will be improved on the 300 ha of agricultural land in Lagodekhi municipality.
The rehabilitation works with the amount of GEL 100 000, will be completed in 2017.
41 rehabilitation projects have been implemented in Kakheti region since 2012. As a result, the irrigated land area has been increased up to 15 400 hectares in the region.
