March 22, World Water Day
By decision of UN General Assembly, World Water Day is celebrated annually, on March 22, targeting at attraction of attention of society on the issues of management and rational use of water resources and raising awareness on environmental issues. Regarding the event, today, “Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Agriculture has hosted pupils of N3 Public School of Sagarejo on the headworks of Kvemo Samgori irrigation scheme. The headworks feeds the scheme from the River Iori. The pupils have been introduced with the information about abstraction and supply of irrigation water, the necessity of protection and rational use of water resources.
Today Company employees have arranged cleaning campaign within which the adjacent territory of the irrigation scheme has been cleaned from domestic waste.
