Rehabilitation of Ertso drainage system has been started
LTD “Georgian Amelioration” of the Ministry of Agriculture has started the rehabilitation of Ertso drainage system in Tianeti Municipality.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Georgia David Galegashvili and the General Director of LTD “Georgian Amelioration” Levan Dvali, with State Representative-Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region Nugzar Kipiani and the representatives of the local self-government attended the process of rehabilitation works.
At Ertso drainage system works have not been carried out for more than two decades. In August of this year, the first phase of rehabilitation project started, which includes the cleaning of river bed of Adzidzi from sediments and soil sediments. Designing of the following phases is in progress. After whole rehabilitation, population of 14 villages of Tianeti Municipality will be capable of implement agricultural works about on 3 000 ha. Apart from mentioned project, in Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, in Dusheti Municipality, rehabilitation of Narekvavi reservoir is being carried out.
For nowadays, LTD “Georgian Amelioration” implements rehabilitation works on 25 object throughout Georgia.
