Rehabilitation of Pirosmani pumping irrigation schemes started
“Georgian Amelioration” Ltd under the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia has initiated rehabilitation of Pirosmani pumping irrigation schemes in Dedoplistskaro municipality, Kakheti region. Within the project a new 4, 34 km long pressure pipeline will be installed and pumping station will be constructed, thereby benefiting population of two villages of Dedoplistskaro municipality to irrigate 1 200 ha of agricultural land plots.
Total cost of the project amounts to GEL 5 000 000.
Nowadays, besides the aforementioned project, “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd implements 25 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure all over Georgia, including 8 in Kakheti region.
