Arrangement of irrigation scheme and pumping station in Kaspi
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture” implements project for arrangement of irrigation scheme and pumping station in Shida Kartli region.
The works envisage installation of pressure pipelines, arrangement of inlet knot and installation of pumping aggregates.
As a result of the ongoing works, supply of irrigation water will be improved on 1180 ha of agricultural land plots of 3 villages of Kaspi municipality (Zemo Khandaki, Sasireti and Metekhi). The Project will be completed in the first quarter of 2018.
As of present, total of 7 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure are in progress in Shida Kartli region. Rehabilitation works ensures improvement of irrigation water supply regime on 1795 ha of agricultural land area, while water supplied agricultural land area covers 1 912 ha.
