Rehabilitation Works of Gardabani Irrigation System
In order to improve the irrigation water supply regime in Gardabani municipality, “Georgian Amelioration” LTD, under the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, is implementing the rehabilitation works of irrigation system.
Within the rehabilitation works of the distribution network, 9 km long section came into operation; new culverts and outlet gates were installed. At present, the reinforced concrete cast in-situ slabs, culverts and distribution network are being arranged on the slopes and at the bottom.
As a result, irrigation water supply will be improved on 900 hectares of agricultural land, which includes 3 villages (Vakhtangisi, Jandara and Nazarlo) of the municipality.
The rehabilitation works will be completed by the irrigation season of spring 2018.
