Irrigation network will be arranged in Tserovani refugees settlement
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Agriculture is implementing project for arranging irrigation network to supply irrigation water to Tserovani refugees settlement. Within the framework of the project up to 30 km long main water supply pipeline and distribution network will be arranged. As of today, total of 20 km long pipes with different diameters have been installed. After completion of the project 80 ha of household plots of more than 2 000 families will be supplied with irrigation water. Total cost of the project amounts to GEL 2 080 900.
George Chkheidze-Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mamuka Tsotniashvili –Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, David Jalabadze-Deputy Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region and Levan Dvali-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd have inspected ongoing works. Since 2012 to date 8 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure have been completed in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region. Consequently, water supplied area has been increased up to 9 600 ha in the region.
