Rehabilitation of pumping station in Samtskhe-Javakheti
Rehabilitation works of pumping station in
Samtskhe-Javakheti will be soon completed. Within the project the pumping
station has been fully rehabilitated, 6 gates have been replaced, 4 new pumping
aggregates have been installed and water inlet structure has been repaired.
After completion of the ongoing works, irrigation water supply regime will be improved on 1384 ha of agricultural land plots of three villages of Akhalkalaki municipality: Diliska, Ptena and Chunchkha.
The project with total cost of GEL 550 000 is carried out by “Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Agriculture.
Since 2014 up to-date total of 14 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure have been implemented in Samtskhe-Javakheti region. As a result, water covered land area has increased up to 6741ha.
