More than 100 fishponds are supplied by water in Kakheti
“Georgian Amelioration” LTD of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia has been implementing rehabilitation works of amelioration infrastructure since 2012 in Kakheti Region, which have not been carried out for several decades. Through the rehabilitated infrastructure, water is supplied to not only agricultural lands, but also fishponds existed in the Region. Indicator of ponds water supply is growing every year. “Georgian Amelioration” LTD supplied water to 957 ha ponds in 2013. For nowadays, the Company supplies water to more than 1600 ha fishponds.
