Irrigation canals are being repaired in the village Akhalubani
"Georgian Amelioration" LTD is carrying out operation works of irrigation canals in Gori Municipality. At this stage, a 1000 meter stretch of the Tiriponi main canal is being cleaned in the village Akhalubani. After the completion of the works, irrigation water supply will be significantly improved to approximately 1000 hectares of agricultural land area in the villages Mejvriskhevi, Zerti and Bershueti.
It should be mentioned, that, as a result of the amelioration infrastructural projects implemented in the Shida Kartli region in 2012-2024, additionally, more than 20 000 hectares of agricultural land area have been water provided, and irrigation water supply has been improved to 15,685 hectares.
