Cleaning works are underway on the drainage collector in Sagarejo municipality
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is carrying out cleaning works of the drainage collector, on the territory adjacent to the Tokhliauri and the Manavi villages, in Kakheti. As a result of the works performed, discharge capacity of the canal will increase that will ensure removal of excess water from up to 150 ha of agricultural land area.
Georgian Amelioration will complete the works ongoing within the operation program by the end of October.
As a result of the amelioration infrastructural projects implemented in Kakheti region within the years of 2012-2024, additional 20 140 hectares of agricultural land area have been water supplied, irrigation water supply has been improved on 16 285 ha, while drainage covered 8 725 ha.
