Cleaning works of irrigation canals are underway in the village of Vaka
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd is carrying out cleaning works of Tashiskari irrigation scheme distribution canal from shrubs and sediment, on the territory of the village Vaka in Khashuri municipality.
The works carried out will facilitate to the increase of discharge capacity of the canal, which will ensure unhindered water flow. As a result, amelioration services will improve on 50 ha of agricultural land area and agro-production opportunities will increase.
The works ongoing within the operation program are at the stage of completion.
It’d be noted that as of present, 6 ameliorative infrastructural projects are underway in Shida Kartli region. As a result, water supply will be improved on 11,870 ha of agricultural land area.
