Irrigation water supply will be improved on 150 hectares of agricultural land area in Shida Kartli
“Georgian Amelioration” LTD of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia is actively implementing amelioration infrastructural projects throughout the country.
In order to improve water supply in Shida Kartli, annargement works of the Tashiskari irrigation system are underway.
On the territory of Khashuri an 8-kolometers length water distribution channel is cleaned from plants and silt.
As a result of the works carried out in the framework of the operation program, the water capacity will be increased in the canal, which will improve the irrigation water supply on 150 hectares of agricultural land area. The population of Khashuri and 4 villages (Tskhramukha, Osiauri, Agarebi, Gomi) will benefit from the restored irrigation channel.
The work that the company is carrying out on its own, will have been completed by the end of this month.
