Rehabilitation of Lami-Misaktsieli irrigation system is carried out in Mtskheta-Mtianeti.
Sections of the main chanal and one of the water distributions, up to 5 km length in total, will be covered with monolithic reinforced concrete; Various types of hydraulic structures (tunnel, gallery) located on the mentioned sections, will be repaired and restored; Existing pipe bridges and pedestrian crossings will be replaced with new ones.
As a result of the project implementation, water loss will be significantly reduced; Water supply will be improved to the hundreds of hectares of agricultural land area.
The cost of the project is more than 6 million GEL.
The rehabilitation works of the irrigation system will be completed in January 2025.
Mr. Tamaz Mgebrishvili, the general director of "Georgian Amelioration" LTD inspected the rehabilitation works of the Lami-Misaktsieli irrigation system and, got acquainted with the information, related to the issues of irrigation water supply, from local farmers.
