Rehabilitation of Naurdali irrigation scheme is underway
In order to increase water supplied areas, “Georgian Amelioration” ltd implement amelioration infrastructural projects throughout the country.
Rehabilitation of primary, secondary and tertiary distribution canals of Naurdali irrigation scheme is underway in Telavi municipality. Within the works, up to 15 km long closed network and various types of hydraulic structures will be installed.
As a result of the works performed, 480 ha of agricultural land area of the village Pshaveli will be supplied with water.
The cost of the project is GEL 6.5 million. The works will be completed in March 2024.
Tamaz Mgebrishvili -General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd, got acquainted with the ongoing works and met with the local population.
As of today, 17 rehabilitation projects with the cost of GEL 55.1 million are underway in Kakheti, after completion of which, regular irrigation of 6000 ha of agricultural land area will be available
