Irrigation water supply will be improved on 500 hectares of agricultural land area in Kakheti region
"Georgian Amelioration" LTD of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture is carrying out the works for arranging the Zemo Alazni irrigation system.
On the territory of the village Kisiskhevi, a 2-kilometer section of the main canal is being cleaned from plants and alluvion. The works will help the uninterrupted flow of water in the canal. As a result, the irrigation water supply will be improved on about 500 hectares of agricultural land area in 10 villages of Telavi and Gurjaani municipalities (Kisiskhevi, Tsinandali, Kvemo Khodasheni, Busheti, Vanta, Akura, Kakhifari, Kalauri, Vachnadziani and Shashiani).
The works, which the company is carrying out with its own forces, will be completed by the end of November.
