A 500 meter section of the main canal is being cleaned from thorns and alluvion in Kvemo Kartli, on the territory of the village Dashtafa
After the completion of the works, water will flow through the canal without obstructing, which will improve the irrigation water supply to 200 hectares of agricultural land area in Marneuli Municipality.
The ongoing works on the irrigation system will be completed in mid-April.
Currently, “Georgian Amelioration” LTD is implementing infrastructural projects with the cost of 15 million GEL in the Kvemo Kartli region, as a result of which, additionally, more than 2500 hectares of agricultural land area will be irrigated regularly, and the irrigation water supply will be improved to 900 hectares.
