Amelioration infrastructural projects in Shida Kartli region
“Georgian Amelioration” LTD has completed the rehabilitation works of one of the water conduits of the Tashiskari irrigation system in Shida Kartli.
Within the framework of the project, a 240-meter length amortized pipeline was replaced with a new one, which will help the water supply and significantly reduce water losses.
Through the rehabilitated irrigation system, 3800 hectares of agricultural land area in 10 villages (Ptsa, Tamarasheni, Mokhisi, Shakshaketi, Tsveri, Aradeti, Sagholasheni, Breti, Ruisi, Urbnisi) of Kareli municipality will be irrigated without interruption.
The cost of the project equals to 1.1 million GEL.
General Director of “Georgian Amelioration”, Tengiz Nasaridze, got acquainted with the rehabilitation works carried out on the amelioration infrastructure in Shida Kartli, and met the local population.
