Meeting regarding the Amelioration issues of Shida Kartli
General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” LTD, Tengiz Nasaridze, and the State representative to Shida Kartli, Mikheil Shakulashvili, at the working meeting discussed the present situation of amelioration systems, issues related to the upcoming irrigation season, and current needs, existing in the region.
Implemented and ongoing amelioration infrastructural projects were evaluated according to municipalities. Tengiz Nasaridze focused on the projects and works that will start in the region in the nearest future.
Currently, rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure with the cost of 7.3 million GEL are underway in Shida Kartli region. As a result, more than 2740 hectares of agricultural land area will be regularly irrigated.
The meeting was held in the regional administration of Shida Kartli, which was attended by the representatives of "Georgian Amelioration" and the mayors of all four municipalities included in Shida Kartli region.
