22nd March World Water Resources Day
Within the celebration of the World Water Resources Day, the representatives of Kvemo Kartli Regional Office of "Georgian Amelioration" Ltd and the students of the village Sioni public school have visited Sioni reservoir.
The mentioned reservoir ensures water supply to Zemo and Kvemo Samgori irrigation schemes.
The Regional Office representatives showed the pupils existing hydraulic structure on the reservoir, introduced them to the history of the reservoir and the specifics of its operation.
The pupils of the public school got acquainted with the information on modern irrigation methods, which contribute to the rational use of water resources and are critically important for the protection of water resources.
