Amelioration infrastructural projects with the amount of up to 20 million GEL will start in the Kvemo Kartli region in 2023
General Director of "Georgian Amelioration" LTD Tengiz Nasaridze and the State Representative to Kvemo Kartli Giorgi Dokhturishvili, at a working meeting discussed the current situation of the amelioration systems in the region; The implemented and ongoing works carried out by municipalities were evaluated.
The discussion was about projects, the implementation of which “Georgian Amelioration” will start this year. In order to improve irrigation water supply to the agricultural land area of up to 9000 hectares in the region, it is planned to start rehabilitation projects with the amount of up to 20 million GEL in 2023.
Currently, 9 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure with the amount of 15.7 million GEL are underway in Kvemo Kartli region. As a result, in addition, more than 2500 hectares of agricultural land area will be regularly irrigated, and irrigation water supply will be improved on 900 hectares.
