Amelioration" LTD is implementing rehabilitation works on the main channel of the Sadakhlo Irrigation System in Kvemo Kartli
The carried out works ensure the proper functioning of the irrigation system; As a result, agricultural areas in the municipality will be irrigated without interruption. The project, cost of which is 500 thousand GEL, started in September 2022 and will be completed in the first quarter of the current year.
The rehabilitation of the water conduit, existing on the main channel, takes into account the arrangement of an emergency spillway, a stilling well, a pipeline and gabion walls; Anti-corrosion treatment works will be carried out on the slope.
General Director of "Georgian Amelioration" LTD Tengiz Nasaridze, along with the representatives of the local government, got acquainted with the rehabilitation and construction process of the irrigation system.
As of today, improvement of infrastructural projects with the cost of 60 million GEL are underway across the country, after the completion of which, in addition, more than 7 540 hectares of agricultural land will become water provided, irrigation water supply will be improved on 900 hectares, and the drained land area will be increased by 900 hectares.
