"Georgian Amelioration” ltd is rehabilitating Dimi-Rokiti irrigation scheme in Bagdati municipality
The project envisages lining of 0.4 km long section of distribution canal and construction of anti-leakage protection wall, passage and pedestrian bridges.
The works performed will facilitate to uninterrupted discharge of water in the canal. As a result, supply of irrigation water will be improved on up to 500 ha of agricultural land area in the municipality. Furthermore, there will be no more danger of flooding of household plots adjacent to the canal.
350 beneficiaries of the villages of Rokiti and Didvela benefit from the abovementioned irrigation scheme.
The project, with total cost of GEL 516,000 started in August of the current year and will be completed by the end of the year.
Tengiz Nasaridze-General Director of "Georgian Amelioration” ltd met with local population in the village of Rokiti and got acquainted with the ongoing works in-situ.
