Restoration works of the drainage canals are underway in Ozurgeti municipality
"Georgian Amelioration" LTD is carrying out the restoration works of the drainage system in Ozurgeti municipality. Up to 25 kilometers of collector and water catchment canals are being cleaned from trees and sediments, culverts are being built.
General Director of "Georgian Amelioration" LTD, Tengiz Nasaridze got acquainted with the ongoing works and met with the local population.
According to Tengiz Nasaridze, the implemented works will ensure the increase of the canal's capacity. As a result, the land area of 170 hectares in the village of Shroma will acquire an agricultural purpose, which makes it possible to produce agricultural crops in the mentioned area.
