Skra-Kareli irrigation scheme has been rehabilitated
“Georgian Amelioration” has carried out rehabilitation of Skra-Kareli irrigation scheme in Kareli municipality. Water has been discharged in the rehabilitated scheme.
Within the framework of the project, rehabilitation of up to 28.4 km long main and distribution canals has been carried out. Reinforced concrete flumes, hydraulic structures and water gauging stations have been arranged.
As a result of the works carried out, irrigation water supply has been improved on 3240 ha of agricultural land area of 9 villages of Kareli and Gori municipalities (Akhalsofeli, Samchidrisi, Kareli, Khvedureti, Kvenaflavi, Gvlevi, Skra, Betlemi, Rieti). Cost of the project is up to GEL 4 million.
Tengiz Nasaridze- General Director of "Georgian Amelioration" Ltd has got acquainted with the works carried out on the irrigation scheme together with Simon Guledani- the acting State Representative of Shida Kartli region.
