Repair works are underway on 12 km long irrigation scheme in Shida Kartli
"Georgian Amelioration" is carrying out works on Tashiskari irrigation scheme for the improvement of irrigation water supply on 5000 hectares of agricultural land area in Shida Kartli.
12 km section of main canal on the territory of the villages Osiauri and Shakshaketi is being cleaned. The works will facilitate to uninterrupted discharge of water in the canal. As a result, water supply will be improved on land plots of 10 villages of Kareli and Khashuri (Osiauri, Zemo and Kvemo Shakshaketi, Breti, Tsveri, Aradeti, Sagolasheni, Bebnisi, Ruisi and Urbnisi).
Improvement of irrigation water supply will enable local farmers to produce quality and abundant yield.
The ongoing works will be completed in mid-December
