“Georgian Amelioration” Ltd has completed the construction works of a new bridge in the village of Shukhuti, in Lanchkhuti Municipality
The new bridge was installed on a canal at the foot of the drainage massive of the left bank of the River Rioni.
General Director of “Georgian Amelioration”, Davit Tsitlidze, together with the representatives of the local authorities, got acquainted with the carried out works on-site.
"We have completed the construction of a bridge that connects the population with agricultural land plots. The bridge was fully rehabilitated. This is the first time that such large-scale works have been carried out on this facility since its setting into operation.
"Most importantly, the local population who use the bridge daily, are satisfied with both, arriving at 1,000 hectares of their agricultural land on foot, and bringing the equipment." - said Davit Tsitlidze.
In the framework of the rehabilitation-reconstruction, the existing bridge was collapsed and a new bridge was installed; piers, crossing slabs, the road part of the bridge, reinforced concrete parapets and metal rails were arranged.
The sum, allocated from the state budget for the rehabilitation of the bridge, amounted to 372,198 GEL.
