Construction of new water distribution network in Kakheti has been completed
Georgian Amelioration has completed the construction of new water distribution network one Zemo Alazani irrigation scheme in Kakheti.
Within the framework of the works, buried network of more than 10 km length and various types of hydraulic structures were constructed (water inlet box, hydrants, discharge unit, distribution and impounding wells).
As a result of the works carried out, up to 500 hectares of agricultural land in the villages of Khorkheli, Ozhio, Koghoto and Alaverdi in Akhmeta Municipality will be irrigated stably.
The cost of the project is up to GEL 2 million.
Davit Tsitlidze-General Director of Georgian Amelioration, together with Irakli Shiolashvili- Kakheti State Representative has inspected the newly arranged irrigation scheme and met with the local population.
