Improvement of amelioration infrastructure is continued in Shida Kartli
"Georgian Amelioration" Ltd of The Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture continues to improve the reclamation infrastructure in parallel to the irrigation season.
The rehabilitation of the irrigation system from the Nadarbazevi Reservoir is underway in an active mode in Gori Municipality.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to restore water distribution canals of 18 kilometers length totally, arrange reinforced concrete furrows and various hydraulic structures.
The carried out works will provide stable irrigation to more than 1000 hectares of agricultural land in the villages of Nadarbazevi, Shavshvebi, Khurvaleti, Nigoza and Zemo Rene.
The cost of the project is 3 287 777 million GEL.
The works started last year in September and will be completed in Autumn of the current year.
Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Otar Shamugia and General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” LTD Davit Tsitlidze, together with the First Deputy of State Representative to Shida Kartli Simon Guledani, got acquainted with the ongoing works on the irrigation system and met with the local population.
