Repair works are underway on Tbisi-Kumisi irrigation scheme
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd uninterruptedly implements rehabilitation-infrastructural projects in the regions. This time ameliorative works are underway in Tetritskaro municipality.
In the village of Asureti, 219 mm network is being replaced on division box of Tbisi-Kumisi irrigation scheme at this moment.
During the repair works of water conduit significant part of the corroded steel pipeline and gate will be replaced, which will contribute to the reliability of water supply and significantly reduce losses. As a result, irrigation water supply regime will be improved on 70 hectares of agricultural land area.
The work that the company is carrying out by own resources is under completion.
At the moment, 5 rehabilitation projects of ameliorative infrastructure are underway in Kvemo Kartli region, after completion of which an additional 1155 hectares of agricultural land area will be irrigated, while irrigation water supply will be improved on more than 4 thousand hectares of land.
