Rehabilitation of Tela irrigation scheme is in progress

“Georgian Amelioration” ltd  carry out rehabilitation works of ameliorative infrastructure in continuous regime.

Tela irrigation scheme is being rehabilitated in Kakheti, Lagodekhi municipality.

The project envisages arrangement of headworks, discharge facility, well with a hydrant, discharge structure with impoundment unit, inverted siphon, steel pipe with the length of 2.1 km.  A 3.2-kilometer section of earth canal will be cleaned.

As a result of the works performed, more than 195 hectares of agricultural land area will be regularly irrigated.

The population of Tela village will benefit from the restored irrigation scheme.

The cost of the project is GEL 852 000.

Davit Tsitlidze- General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” ltd got acquainted with ongoing works and met with local population.

Currently, 17 rehabilitation projects of ameliorative infrastructure  are underway in Kakheti, after completion of which  additional 3,200 hectares of land will be irrigated, and water supply regime will be improved on 9,300 hectares.
