Rehabilitation of Algeti water reservoir starts
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd starts the rehabilitation of Algeti reservoir within the framework of amelioration infrastructure alignment.
The works envisage arrangement of water level measurement systems, meteorological station and trash rack, as well as repair of water conduit valves downstream, cleaning and drainage of cementation tunnel.
The works carried out will facilitate to the improvement of irrigation water supply on thousands of hectares of agricultural land in Kvemo Kartli.
The estimated cost of the project is up to GEL 1 million.
Giorgi Khanishvili- Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Davit Tsitlidze-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd, and Lali Durmishidze- World Bank “Irrigation and Land Market Development” Project Manager, got acquainted with the situation at Algeti Reservoir.
The project, which will be launched in coming days, is implemented with the financial support of the World Bank "Irrigation and Land Market Development Project".
The works shall be completed by the tender winner company within 12 months.
