Davit Tsitlidze held a meeting with the population of the village Ruisi
Davit Tsitlidze-General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” Ltd. met with the population of the village of Ruisi in Kareli Municipality and discussed the issues of improving irrigation services.
In order to regulate the irrigation water supply process in the village and supply water to the population without delay, urgent works are underway to eliminate the delays on the last section of Tashiskari main canal, namely in the village of Ruisi.
Furthermore, it is necessary for the local population to follow water consumption schedule for ensuring even distribution of the water. In parallel, the works for installation of Ruisi pumping station are underway.
The first stage of the works will be completed in August of the current year, while full completion of the project is scheduled by the next irrigation season.
The arrangement of the pumping station ensures stable water supply.
Rehabilitation works are also underway on one of the water division boxes of Tashiskari irrigation scheme, as a result of which additional 135 hectares of agricultural land area will be irrigated in the municipality.
“Georgian Amelioration” Ltd. is uninterruptedly implementing rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure in parallel with the irrigation season.
As of today, 34 rehabilitation projects are underway throughout the country, while 6 projects are underway in Shida Kartli region.
