Rehabilitation of ameliorative infrastructure is uninterruptedly in progress in parallel with irrigation season

“Georgian Amelioration” ltd is uninterruptedly implementing ameliorative infrastructural rehabilitation works in parallel with irrigation season.

Rehabilitation of Zemo Samgori irrigation scheme is underway in Gardabani municipality, Kvemo Kartli region.

Within the works:

2500 m long reach of new, cast in-situ reinforced concrete distribution canal has been arranged;

Demolition works have been carried out on the old (depreciated) flume canal.

Anti-leakage arrangements have been carried out, along with the arrangement of water outlet

Within the same project, 2 km long new secondary distribution canal shall be installed.

Installation of outlets, various size of in-dept and surface gates is scheduled.

As a results of the works carried out water supply shall be improved on and 400 ha of agricultural land area shall be regularly irrigated.

With the repaired irrigation scheme, population of the villages of Sartichala and Muganlo shall benefit.

Cost of the project amounts to GEL  1 775 000 MLN.

Rehabilitation woks of Zemo Samgori irrigation scheme shall be completed in Autumn of 2020.
