Does-Grakali irrigation canal has been cleaned in the village of Kvakhvreli
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd under the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture is actively implementing ameliorative infrastructural projects all over the country for increasing water supplied and drained land area.
Repair works of Does-Grakali irrigation scheme have been completed in Gori municipality, Shida Kartli region. 1000 m long reach of the canal has been cleaned from bushes and vegetation in the village of Kvakhvreli.
As a result of the arrangements carried out within operation program, discharge capacity of the canal has been increased thus enabling irrigation of additional 100 ha of agricultural land area of the villages Kvakhvreli, Uplistsikhe, Doesi and Grakali and improvement of water supply on more than 400 ha.
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd has carried out repair works of Does-Grakali irrigation scheme by own resources.
