Irrigation canals are actively being cleaned in Marneuli
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd is uninterruptedly implementing projects, following safety rules.
Maintenance works are underway on several locations in Marneuli municipality.
6000 m long section of Gamarjveba canal is being cleaned from vegetation in the village of Kachagani.
The works carried out will facilitate to the improvement of water supply regime on more than 1000 ha of agricultural land area of the villages of Kachagani, kasumlo and Agmamedlo.
In order to improve water supply on agricultural land area of the villages Bailari, Saimerlo and Kutliari, 4 km long section of Agmashenebeli canal is being cleaned.
Cleaning works are underway on the same scheme in the village of Kutliari: 5000 m long section of the canal is being cleaned from sediment and bushes.
The works carried out on Agmashebelei canal will increase discharge capacity of the canal thereby improving water supply on 1100 ha of agricultural land area in total.
Repair works, which haven’t been undertaken for 2 decades, are carried out on irrigation scheme of Keshalo pumping station, with the length of 1500 meters. By alignment of the canal additional 40 ha of agricultural land area will be irrigated.
“Georgian Amelioration” will complete current rehabilitation works in Marneuli municipality, Kvemo Kartli region by the end of April.
